Hi, my name is Lindsay Hoover (pictured middle), I am the original founder of Light for Darkness. In 2021, my boyfriend and I decided we wanted to create a business together. From the very beginning, it was important to us that this business honor God. We wanted to give back to our local church as a way of showing our gratitude for all that God has given us and for blessing us with the ability and opportunity to create this business in the first place. Years later, my now husband has continued to help support this business idea of ours, but the ownership has shifted to my two best friends, Karly and Alaina. With no background in business or entrepreneurship, our journey has been filled with challenges and many moments of uncertainty. But through it all, God has been faithful. By His grace, He has taken what began as a fun idea and turned Light for Darkness into an incredible journey. I am grateful for the opportunity to share the love and hope of the Lord Jesus Christ through our company and to see how He continues to use it for His purpose.
I (Alaina Evinger pictured left) joined Light for Darkness in 2025 with a deep desire to live a life that reflects the love, truth, and hope of Jesus Christ. I am currently pursuing my MBA, and through this journey, I seek to keep Christ at the center of every area of my life, trusting Him to guide my purpose, decisions, and future. My faith is not simply a part of who I am—it is the foundation upon which I build my life. Through my education, work, relationships, and creative pursuits, I hope to point others toward the light of Christ and remind them that even in the darkest places, His presence, grace, and love remain.
I (Karly Renz pictured right) joined Light for Darkness in early 2025. I was blessed with the opportunity to join this business after Lindsay, the original founder, approached me about becoming part of what God was already building through this Christian business. My main role within the business is creating and designing our apparel, but this opportunity has become so much more than simply making shirts. God is at the center of everything we do, and it is my prayer that every piece we create reflects His love, truth, and purpose. I am incredibly grateful that God opened this door for me and allowed me to use my creativity in a way that honors Him. It is a privilege to serve the Lord through this business, and I am excited to see how He continues to lead, grow, and use this company.
